Their pathfinding, animation transitions and distance from their spawn point can conflict with their AI (think: glitch tornado.) Cleric beast semi-broke on me because of its bad animation states, while the last boss is almost the opposite - it's like fighting a DBZ/Bleach character when taking it head on. You can cheese encounters way more here, or get your face ripped off. The enemy animation system and animation/state transitions is not consistent. It clangs off of the cramped environments like you're playing Berserk on the Dreamcast. The Axe in 2H mode is a trap because of this. Big weapons bounce of the walls like crazy, man! Brutal design decision here. PSX inspired or not, being able to switch on the fly could save your bacon even without the different moveset's ability to flow into a combo. running, dodging, jumping, and back step attacks) but I don't agree with not only hiding the trick function as an unlock on the bench in the HD, but putting the trick function to switch in the menu. I get the limited moveset of the character to match the enemies (i.e.You have to give blood echos to the little things in one of the insight doors to respawn items, you'll get an "above ground something changed" prompt In BB, these drop from enemies, not really here. Not enough blood bone upgrade thingies for weapons. This is compounded by the fact you can't move while navigating it, meaning you better have every piece of equipment ready before a fight. The original BB menu system is much, much better. After dying initially, I didn't go back to retrieve it until the end of the game. The blood bullet item in the clinic can be easily passed over. Some voice acting being included is nice. Animations can be surprisingly authentic, almost 1:1. Uncapped framerate, customizable filters/retro look. The rain portions don't make sense continuity wise, but they are still very cool I think its because is so damn dark/the skybox gives off no light despite several "light beam" textures being present in the game. I think this game can get much more unsettling than the original, but like Demon's I never finished the OG. Pretend you're playing KH1, recenter the camera with X/the action button. Bungled the first dog encounter at the start only to New Game hours later and fist 'em and the other pre-Central Yharnam Lamp enemies easily. Even with the repeating textures, its plain to see that every room in this game is unique. The environment is extremely varied, more than enough for the player to get lost. The changed map might should be a neat surprise for vets. A ton of content to play, a lot of it is new. This is an amazing homage and evidently a labor of love.
